Nova Twins announced as Music Minds Matter ambassadors
To mark World Mental Health Day we’re delighted to announce critically acclaimed rock duo Nova Twins as new ambassadors for Music Minds Matter.
Their appointment comes after the Musicians’ Census revealed that one in three rock and alternative musicians report low mental wellbeing, underlining the urgent need for accessible, industry-wide support.
Known for their unapologetic energy and fearless creativity, Amy Love and Georgia South have spoken about the need for better mental health support in music, highlighting the pressures of touring, the emotional highs and lows of performing, and the financial barriers to accessing the right support when it’s needed.
Their 2025 single ‘Monsters’, which touches on themes of mental health, appears on their album ‘Parasites & Butterflies’, released on 29 August. The track offers a raw and honest perspective on the internal battles faced by many in the industry, reinforcing their commitment to raising awareness and promoting open conversation.
“Being in a band is amazing, but it’s not always easy,” said Nova Twins. “The industry can be all-consuming, and life on the road can take its toll. We want to help create a healthier and more supportive scene, whether that’s for the bands, crew or wider team. By teaming up with Music Minds Matter, we’re hoping to shine a light on support systems that exist and explore new ventures that could be put in place, so that artists and crew can keep thriving, on and off stage.”
Our Chief Executive Sarah Woods said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Nova Twins as ambassadors. Spending time with Amy and Georgia, their passion to make a difference is clear, bringing great insights on what is needed to sustain a healthy career. Raising the profile of mental health and how we can work together to make a difference across the industry is key to reducing the prevalence of poor mental wellbeing, both within the artist community and roles that support it.”
